My boss has been asked to invest in Pacific American Launch Systems,
the company trying to build the Phoenix.

You could really help me by sharing pertinent information about the
level of technical risk involved in building a SSTO ship, and about the
level of development of the technologies slated to go into Phoenix.
For example, the Conestoga grew out of an off-the-shelf motor (the Castor)
with hundreds of flights behind it.  Has anyone even tested a full-size
aerospike?  A water-cooled heat shield?

I welcome email, but if you have special knowledge it's likely to be of 
general interest.

All information will be read with gratitude!
